Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take commissions or license your work?
I’m open to discuss commissions and licensing. If you have something in mind, feel free to send a note.
What materials are used to make your artwork?
For the watercolor paintings I use Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour paints, Montana Colors Water Based spray paint, Pentel Hi-Polymer 0.5mm HB Black Lead, and pure cotton 140lb. hot press Arches Paper. Some of the paintings from 1999 are on Fluid Acid-Free 140lb. Hot Press Finish Watercolor Paper. For the silk screen prints I’ve used various inks and papers throughout the years.
If a painting or print is sold out, will it be re-stocked?
All paintings are original artworks, therefore once they are sold they will not be re-stocked. Every once in awhile I do make new paintings using the same word in a different composition or color. If you are interested in a particular word or phrase that is already sold, feel free to reach out.
Archival giclee prints are open edition, so if the current stock of a particular print is sold out, it may be back soon. Contact if you’d like to know when.
The silk screen prints are made as editions so you can purchase them while they last. Once an edition is sold out, the exact print will not be available again. I may have an artist proof or imperfect version in the archive.
Can you frame my painting or print?
I currently do not offer this service. I’d be happy to recommend what kind of frame suits the painting or print your interested in, and if you’re in the Los Angeles area, can point you to an established framer.
Can I contact you directly with any questions?
Certainly. If you have questions not answered here or have inquiries related to artwork, orders, or press, please email info@shopotherthings.com.
